VERVET MONKEY FOUNDATION Founded in 1993, The Vervet Monkey Foundation (VMF) looks after Primates that are injured, orphaned, un-wanted pets or even saved from laboratory testing. Located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, this registered charity do tireless work to help sustain and re-establish Vervet Monkey numbers in particular. Vervet Monkeys are also hunted for their pelts and are one of many targeted species of Primate across Africa, given that their natural habitat is often under threat too. Our friends at VMF are currently working hard to raise funds that will enable them to secure 500 hectares of valuable land, suitable to provide a sustainable and healthy natural sanctuary for their Primate population. These twin Vervet Monkeys will be given names by VMF in readiness for their discovery on one of the islands of Primasia!
