JANE GOODALL INSTITUTE Prime8 is very proud of its brand philosophy but not many people know of its origins. In 1991, Prime8’s Founder was seconded by The Zoological Society of London to take part a trip to Central Africa, to document Okapi activity in The Democratic Republic of Congo (previously Zaire). Due to the outbreak of civil unrest, the team were rerouted to Rwanda and advised to travel through Burundi and on towards Tanzania. Here they would meet Jane Goodall at Gombe Stream,
in The Kigoma Region, where her
activities and wonderful work to
understand the lives of Chimpanzees
and other Primates were the initial
inspiration of what we now enjoy
sharing today. The Jane Goodall Institute are a
global community conservation
organisation that advances the
vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall.
By protecting chimpanzees and inspiring people to
conserve the natural world we all share, we improve the lives
of people, animals and the environment. Everything is connected — everyone can make a difference.
